By creating an account or using mecomap, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the platform. We've kept these terms short. Please read them.
What mecomap Does
mecomap is an AI-powered platform for generating, viewing, and sharing market ecosystem maps. You can create visual maps of competitive landscapes, industry segments, and technology stacks using AI-assisted tools.
Your Account
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, let us know immediately. One person or organization per account. Don't share accounts across teams unless on a plan that supports it.
Content You Create
Maps, categories, labels, and other content you generate through mecomap belong to you. You grant us a limited license to host, display, and process your content as needed to provide the service.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use mecomap lawfully and responsibly. You may not:
• Use the platform to generate misleading, defamatory, or illegal content
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or interfere with the platform
• Automate access to the service beyond what our API permits
• Impersonate another person or organization
• Use mecomap to harass, spam, or harm others
Credits and Payments
Generating a map with AI uses credits. Each generated map uses one credit. New accounts receive 5 credits, and more can be bought in Settings. Credits do not expire and are not transferable. If a generation fails, its credit is returned automatically. Saving, editing and exporting maps, and browsing Explore, do not use credits. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not see or store your card details. Prices are shown in US dollars before you pay. All purchases are final: credits are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash, except where the law requires otherwise. AI-Generated Content
Maps and insights generated by mecomap use AI models and publicly available data. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information. You should independently verify any data before making business decisions based on it. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated outputs.
Content Moderation
We reserve the right to review, modify, or remove any content that violates these terms or that we reasonably believe is harmful, misleading, or inappropriate. We may also suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly violate our guidelines.
Service Availability
We work to keep mecomap available and reliable, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime. We may occasionally need to perform maintenance, deploy updates, or modify features. We'll provide reasonable notice for significant changes whenever possible.
Limitation of Liability
mecomap is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including lost profits, data loss, or business interruption. Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Termination
You can ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing privacy@mecomap.com from the address you sign in with. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days, unless retention is required by law.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
