mecomap is an AI-powered market mapping and content generation platform. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service. We believe in transparency and keeping things simple.
Information We Collect
Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address and any profile details you choose to provide.
Usage data. We automatically collect information about how you interact with mecomap, including pages visited, maps created, features used, and session duration. This data is anonymized and aggregated wherever possible.
Generated content. Maps, categories, and other content you create through the platform are stored in your account to enable saving, editing, and sharing.
How We Use Your Data
We use your information to operate and improve mecomap. Specifically:

What We Don't Do
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your generated maps or content with other users unless you explicitly choose to make them public.
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on secure, encrypted infrastructure. We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (TLS), secure authentication, and regular security reviews. While no system is perfectly secure, we take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access or disclosure.
Third-Party Services
We use a limited number of third-party services to operate mecomap, including cloud hosting, authentication, and analytics providers. Payments for credits are processed by Stripe, which receives your email address and payment details directly; we keep a record of each purchase and the credits it added, not your card details. These services process data on our behalf and are contractually obligated to protect it. We do not share more data than necessary for each service to function.
Your Rights
You can rename or delete any of your maps at any time from My maps. To get a copy of your data, or to delete your account and everything stored with it, email privacy@mecomap.com from the address you sign in with. We respond to all requests within 30 days.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as mecomap evolves. If we make meaningful changes, we'll notify you via email or an in-app notice before they take effect.
